Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Underwriter to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles.
• The Technical Underwriter will be responsible for assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage levels for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess risk to determine appropriate coverage levels for clients.
• Analyze insurance applications, claims, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and insurance carriers.
• Provide technical underwriting support to our sales and marketing teams.
• Collaborate with other underwriters and analysts to develop and implement underwriting strategies.
• Participate in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines, processes, and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new products and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
• A professional certification in Insurance is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical underwriting in the insurance brokers industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry trends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
