The Technical Sales Coordinator supports commercial and technical activities for fixed gas and flame detection solutions, encompassing product supply, on‑site commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
The Technical Sales Coordinator will act as the nexus between Sales, Engineering, Operations and Clients, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality solutions that meet customer safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Consolidating our established customer base and managing key accounts,
Developing the sector through appropriate prospecting,
Preparing technical and commercial offers,
Monitoring offers and supporting customers,
Perform the first stage of maintenance, onsite and in a workshop.
Do site surveys directly at the customer’s site, following safety rules
Liaise with vendors and internal procurement and Autochim to obtain timely pricing, lead times and availability for gas & flame detection equipment and spares.
Deliver on‑site training to end‑users on system operation, safety protocols and basic troubleshooting.
Develop maintenance plans (preventive and corrective), service-level agreements and spare‑parts kits.
Track and report on maintenance KPIs (uptime, mean-time-between-failures, response times).
Provide technical troubleshooting support (remote and on‑site) for gas detector alarms, calibration errors and flame sensor anomalies.
Stay current on industry standards and local regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation: datasheets, commissioning reports, inspection certificates and calibration records.
Coordinate with Logistics to monitor shipments, customs clearance and on‑time delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or similar).
A master's degree is an added advantage
PMP or equivalent Project Management certification, COREN membership
A minimum of 5 years in technical sales, project coordination or field service within industrial safety, instrumentation or process controls.
Proven exposure to fixed gas detection, flame detection or fire & gas systems.
Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Understanding of the various technologies available, their principles, advantages, and operational limitations for Fixed Gas and Flame Detection with our partners like General Monitors, MSA, Senscient, ou AP Sensing
Understanding of gas sensor technologies (electrochemical, catalytic, IR) and flame detection principles (UV/IR, IR3).
Familiarity with fire & gas system architecture, relay logic and 4–20 mA loop wiring.
Competent with MS Office Suite, CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and basic CAD review.
Sound knowledge of the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry
