The Team Lead, Financial Advisory is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of financial advisory mandates including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate/debt restructuring, divestitures, company/asset valuation, and strategic advisory (including PPP transactions) for corporate, institutional and government clients.
The role involves originating and managing client relationships, overseeing transaction execution, leading deal teams, and providing strategic financial insights to clients across various sectors.
The Team Lead will work closely with senior management to drive business development, structure transactions, manage project timelines, and ensure high-quality advisory services are delivered to clients.
The role also requires mentoring junior analysts and associates while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Origination and Execution of deals
Lead the origination and execution of financial advisory transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, privatizations, restructuring, and strategic advisory assignments.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
Identify new business opportunities and actively contribute to the firm’s revenue generation through deal origination and mandate acquisition.
Lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, and transaction structuring to support client advisory engagements.
Prepare and review financial advisory materials including pitch books, investment memoranda, valuation reports, and transaction documentation.
Manage and coordinate deal execution processes including due diligence, negotiations, regulatory approvals, and transaction closing.
Provide strategic and financial insights to clients regarding capital structure optimization, growth strategies, and market opportunities.
Supervise and mentor analysts and associates within the advisory team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and other relevant institutions when required.
Ensure all advisory engagements comply with applicable regulatory and internal risk management frameworks.
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and economic conditions to inform advisory recommendations.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
A master’s degree (MBA or M.Sc. in finance related degrees) is an added advantage.
Recognized professional financial certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA).
A minimum of 7-9 years of progressive experience in investment banking, financial advisory, corporate finance, consulting, or transaction advisory
