The Role
We are seeking an accomplished, execution-driven Executive Transaction Manager & Vice President (ETM-INDEX) to act as an independent project lead and portfolio manager for major investment opportunities.
In this role, you will own the entire lifecycle of assigned deals from initial executive approval through to financial close. You will serve as the operational point-person for transaction execution, directing internal advisory teams, leading complex M&A and structured finance negotiations, and driving investments to successful realizations.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Deal Management: Lead and accelerate complex infrastructure and real asset transactions from research and development to financial close.
- Transaction Structuring & Modeling: Oversee rigorous financial modeling, valuations, downside protections, and the design of optimal deal structures (targeting high IRR and robust equity returns).
- Due Diligence & Risk Management: Direct multi-disciplinary diligence workstreams (financial, legal, technical, commercial) to ensure zero-surprise execution and strict risk mitigation.
- Syndication & Investor Readiness: Coordinate capital-raising processes, build robust data rooms, and prepare institutional investment memos, pitch decks, and term sheets.
- Stakeholder & Advisor Orchestration: Manage external consultants, legal counsel, and financial advisors while building strategic partnerships across banking and finance institutions.
Preferred Background & Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive investment experience gained within Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Dealmaking, Project & Structured Finance, or Infrastructure & Real Assets Investments.
- Proven track record of independently managing and closing full transaction cycles in infrastructure and real assets.
- Exceptional technical command of financial modeling, valuation, term sheet preparation, and complex multi-party deal structures.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory, legal, and governance frameworks within African investment landscapes.
