Positions - (1) A levels & IGCSE Chemistry Teacher

(2) A levels & IGCSE Physics Teacher

Duties - 

1. Model the pursuit of excellence by: 
a. Inspire students and staff in Christian living.
b. Be a life-long learner. Write, review and make progress in your personal self-improvement goals. 
c. Welcoming feedback and making conscious changes.

2. Curriculum and Instruction 
a. Regularly review curriculum guides and plan lessons that lead to fulfillment of course priorities and goals. 
b. Prepare weekly lesson plans (or assignment schedules) containing learner outcomes and objective based instructional plan and resources. 
c. Design and maintain a positive, pleasant, and nurturing classroom environment. This includes regular preparation of bulletin boards and classroom displays. Bulletin boards must be changed every month.
d. Implement an effective classroom management and discipline program that promotes effective student learning.
e. Review and incorporate instructional technology and audiovisuals to support the delivery of lesson objectives. 
f. Assign homework that supplement the classroom program and that is within the expectations and goals of the school. 

3. Supervision 
a. Effectively oversee the learning process in the classroom. 
b. Supervise students at lunch and/or during scheduled periods and other activities, according to the school plan. 
c. Homeroom teachers:
Supervise students at class parties (for homeroom teachers) and, or school activities.
Class and homeroom teachers are responsible for updating the parents’ directory for students in their class.
4. Organization 
a   Plan a minimum of ONE  for field trips in an academic year that extend or apply classroom learning. 
b. Homeroom teachers

• Plan and present classroom assemblies at regular intervals as assigned. 
• Review and practice emergency procedures with students. 
• Organize class parties and activities, according to assigned responsibilities.

Professional Development 
a. Annually submit a written list of your professional goals to your VP academics/HR.
b. Participate in scheduled in-service, curriculum planning, and professional development activities.

 Qualifications Required:

• Publicly profess belief in Jesus Christ and have a lifestyle that reflects maturity and intimacy with God. 
•  Has an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by a strong, clear personal testimony, leading others into their own personal encounters with God
• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education.
• Hold a valid teaching certificate for the subject and grade level you teach. 
• Candidates should have experience in teaching in an international school and should be able to showcase the results of students they have prepared for these exams.
