    Tax Administration and Compliance Officer

    Salary: N380,000 monthly gross

    Reports to: Financial Controller

    Role Summary:

    We are seeking a meticulous Tax Compliance Officer to ensure our company’s tax-related practices comply with state and federal laws. Responsibilities include staying updated on tax regulations, addressing compliance risks, overseeing tax compliance training, and ensuring accurate tax filings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •  Prepare monthly and quarterly tax compliance reports.
    • Develop annual tax planning documents for CFO and Board.
    • Keep updated on tax laws and regulations.
    • Process vendor invoices for accurate tax positioning.
    • Ensure 100% tax compliance for the group.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts and intercompany transactions.
    • Support annual audits and conduct regular tax reviews.
    • Identify regulatory issues and ensure internal processes comply with tax laws.
    • Negotiate with tax authorities and ensure timely tax filings.
    • Advise senior management on compliance risks and tax liabilities.
    • Monitor compliance training for staff.
    • Manage internal tax audits to identify risks before external audits.
    • Maintain and update the company's tax database.

    • University degree in Accounting or Economics.
    • Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
    • Completed NYSC.
    • 3-5 years of experience in tax administration and management.
