Tax Accountant at Terawork

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to support the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns, ensure compliance with tax laws, and provide advice on tax-efficient business decisions. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file all statutory tax returns (Company Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, etc.) accurately and within deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update tax records, reconciliations, and documentation for audit purposes.
• Liaise with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and State Internal Revenue Services on tax matters.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a tax perspective.
• Review financial statements and identify potential tax liabilities or opportunities for savings.
• Provide support during tax audits and respond to tax queries or assessments.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate tax estimates.
• Collaborate with external auditors and consultants when necessary.
