Systems Engineer (Security) at Reposebay Human Resources Limited

• We are hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will possess business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. In this role, the systems engineer will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle.
• The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security solutions.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
• Meet with clients to determine their computing and technology needs.
• Manage projects and meet deliverables according to a set timeline.
• Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
• Scope and clearly translate defined requirements, proposed solutions, and value proposition into proposals/Statement of Work (SOW).
• Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
• Ensures timely delivery and implementation of proposed Security solutions to customers.
• Capable of quickly learning new Security products and technologies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE MEASURES

• Achieves assigned productivity and profitability quotas and maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Complete companies required training and development objectives within the assigned period.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

• Reports to the Solutions Architect (Security)
• Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account management teams supported.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting security Solutions
• Proven knowledge in implementing Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, equipment’s.
• Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
• Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
• Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures, AWS, Azure etc.) and of network/web related protocols
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with monitoring systems and solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Possesses a minimum of CCNA Security. CCNP Security will be an added advantage.
• The Systems Engineer (Security) must possess a minimum of 3 years post NYSC cognate experience across various security Solutions.
