The Strategic Communications Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to support Vendease's business and brand goals and enhance its reputation.
This role involves overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of communication strategies that align with Vendease's marketing and communication objectives and target audiences.
This role involves managing all aspects of public relations, media relations, internal communications, and external communications to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
The Strategic Communications Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, customer experience, executive leadership, and other departments, to drive brand awareness and manage the organization's public image.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with assigned KPIs and marketing objectives.
Conduct research and analysis to identify target audiences, key messages, and communication channels for effective outreach.
Craft compelling narratives and messages that resonate with the target audience and align with the Vendease’s mission and values.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and subject matter experts, to gather insights and information for communication initiatives.
Oversee the creation of various communication materials, including press releases, speeches, presentations, blog posts, and social media content.
Coordinate and manage external communication activities, such as media relations, public announcements, and stakeholder engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders to facilitate positive media coverage and strategic partnerships.
Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to identify emerging issues, trends, or potential reputational risks, and develop strategies to address them.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on communication best practices, ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation.
Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives using relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (X years) in strategic communications or a related role, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling, and targeted messages.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on understanding audience needs and crafting effective communication strategies.
Experience in developing and implementing communication plans that align with Vendease’s business and marketing objectives and drive results.
Knowledge of current communication trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital and traditional media.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts, stakeholders, and external partners.
Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics software.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
