    Storekeeper

    Job Summary

    • The Store Keeper will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Central Store by receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment and consumables.
    • Will maintain accurate records, update bin cards and stock cards, ensure proper labelling, and handle all materials safely.
    • Will also keep the Store organized and clean, conduct stock checks, monitor inventory levels, and ensure the timely availability of materials required for all Project sites and operational needs.

    Requirements

    • The storekeeper will receive, unload, and inspect all incoming goods and materials.
    • Will label, store, and arrange inventory correctly in their designated bin locations.
    • Will conduct daily cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies.
    • He/She will pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch according to delivery schedules.
    • Will perform NAVISION (ERP Software) checks and resolve variances between physical and system stock.
    • Will create Store purchase requisitions in Navision when required.
    • Ensure accurate stock records and continuously update the inventory management system.
    • Carry out routine stock checks and escalate discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
    • Ensure the Store is always clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
    • Must prepare and submit a monthly store report to Management.
    • Will perform any additional tasks assigned by the Manager.

    Requirement

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
    • CIPS – Completed level 4.
    • A degree in Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent is required.
    • Prior experience as a storekeeper or in a similar warehouse or role is necessary.

    Skill & knowledge:

    • Inventory Management: Must have knowledge of inventory control, proper storage, and record-keeping, including using computerized systems.
    • Organizational Skills: This is essential for maintaining a tidy and efficient storage area.
    • Attention to Detail: Crucial for accuracy in counts, data entry, and identifying discrepancies.
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed for managing relationships with vendors and team members.
    • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills are required, especially with inventory management software, databases, and spreadsheets.
    • Problem-Solving: The ability to resolve issues like inventory discrepancies or damaged goods is very important.
    • Time Management: Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for receiving and dispatching goods, and submission of monthly management reports.
