Store Officer at Johnvents Foods Limited

Job Summary

• The Store Officer will be responsible for efficiently managing engineering spare parts, daily consumables, and other materials required for smooth factory operations.
• The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely issuance of items to factory staff, and supporting procurement processes.
• The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in ERP software (especially Oracle NetSuite), skilled in Microsoft Excel, and diligent in stock control and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials, spare parts, and consumables against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records using Oracle NetSuite ERP and other relevant tools.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts, and promptly reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Issuance & Replenishment:

• Issue materials and spare parts to factory staff based on approved requisitions.
• Ensure prompt and accurate response to factory employees’ material requests.
• Raise Purchase Requests (PRs) for replenishment when stock reaches reorder levels.

ERP & Reporting:

• Update all stock transactions (receipts, issues, adjustments) in Oracle NetSuite ERP promptly and accurately.
• Generate periodic stock reports for management review.
• Prepare consumption analysis and trend reports for cost control purposes.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain proper filing of all store documents including GRNs (Goods Received Notes), issue vouchers, PRs, and supplier invoices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures for inventory handling.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and reports.

Stock Care & Housekeeping:

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of all materials to avoid damage or deterioration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment at all times.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles where applicable.

Coordination & Teamwork:

• Liaise with the procurement team to track pending orders and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to anticipate material needs.
• Support the logistics team in material movement and dispatch where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, preferably in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite ERP or similar ERP software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Good understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
