We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Special Projects Associate to support the Head of Special Projects in driving high-impact initiatives across fintech, financial services, and innovation domains like crypto and blockchain. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, finance, and technology—contributing directly to growth, expansion, and digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution – Support planning, tracking, and execution of special initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and timely delivery of milestones.
Data Analysis & Reporting – Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders using Excel and data visualization tools.
Business Case Development – assist in building financial models and conduct financial statement analysis to assess business viability and inform decision-making.
Market Research – Perform primary and secondary research on market trends, customer segments, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments.
Operational Support – Assist in setting up processes for operational efficiency, coordination across businesses/departments, and implementation of best practices.
Technology Integration – Support integration of AI tools and emerging technologies into business workflows; collaborate with tech teams for pilot testing and scaling.
Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with partners, regulators, and other stakeholders as needed; represent the special projects team in cross-functional meetings.
Travel Readiness – Willingness to travel across Nigeria and the African region for project delivery, research, and stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
2–4 years (for bachelor) or 1-2 years (for masters) of experience in financial services, consulting, fintech, or strategic project roles.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with proven ability to translate data into insights.
Working knowledge of accounting concepts and interpreting financial statements.
Familiarity with fintech ecosystems, digital financial services, and financial market structures in Nigeria.
Solid grasp of operational excellence principles and tools (e.g., trackers, Gantt charts, KPIs).
Exposure to AI tools, data integrations, or low-code/no-code platforms is an advantage.
