Description 

• The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for haulage and warehouse services. This role involves identifying, negotiating with, and onboarding new truck owners as well as Warehouse owners, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to build and maintain a reliable network of haulage and warehouse service providers.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish contractual agreements to ensure favourable terms for the aggregator platform.
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues or discrepancies to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their specific sourcing needs and provide timely solutions.
• Analyse market trends, assess supplier capabilities and recommend adjustments to sourcing strategies as required.
• Evaluate and negotiate pricing structures, discounts, and volume incentives to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and key suppliers, fostering collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Collaborate with technology and operations teams to integrate new suppliers seamlessly into the aggregator platform.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the sourcing and onboarding process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5 - 10 years work experience.
• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the logistics, haulage, or warehouse industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools for procurement and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
