Social Media Marketing Intern at African Things

Role Description

• This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Marketing Intern at African Things located in Lekki, with flexibility for remote work. The Social Media Marketing Intern will be responsible for managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, implementing digital marketing strategies, and facilitating communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management

• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, incorporating them into content strategies.
• Manage a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content for various platforms and campaigns.

Social Media Marketing

• Develop and implement social media strategies to build brand awareness, increase engagement, and drive website traffic.
• Manage African Things’ social media accounts, including creating, scheduling, and publishing posts across platforms.
• Generate content using ChatGBT and create images using Canva then schedual post using Zoho social
• Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
• Respond to comments, inquiries, and direct messages in a professional and timely manner to foster a positive online community.
• Stay informed about social media trends and tools to ensure African Things remains competitive in the digital space.

Email Marketing

• Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote products, and drive conversions.
• Build, manage, and segment email lists for personalized communication.
• Create engaging email content, including newsletters, promotional emails, and drip campaigns, that align with the brand’s goals.
• Track and analyze email campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation skills
• Digital Marketing and Marketing knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to create engaging and compelling content
• Experience with social media analytics and tools
• Knowledge of branding and promotional strategies
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Relevant coursework in Marketing, Communications, or related field
