    Social Media Manager

    Role Summary

    • We seek a social media manager responsible for overseeing a company's interactions with the public by implementing social media platforms' content strategies. Their duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions, and planning digital campaigns to build communities online.


    • Updates Facebook page on a regular schedule.
    • Helps develop our social media strategy, our implementation plan and our posting calendar.
    • Responds to posts or comments to bring value to audience’s interactions
    • Posts updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content.
    • Performs research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our community and posts it to our social media pages in a manner that invites conversation and interaction.
    • Updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from Philanthropies and grantees activities and events.
    • Grows online social networks by increasing followers and interactions.
    • Regularly observes the online activity of model organizations researches and reports on “social media best practices”.
    • Reviews data on the performance of social media platforms and adjusts plans or strategies to optimize reach.

    Person Specification

    • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
    • Proven work experience as a Social media manager
    • Hands on experience in content management
    • Excellent copywriting skills
    • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
    • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
    • Knowledge of online marketing channels
    • Familiarity with web design
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Analytical and multitasking skills
