Social Media & Content Creator at Igbo Language Academy

Job Type: (100% Remote) - 2 to 3 days per week

Igbo Language Academy is a virtual institution based in the diaspora, dedicated to connecting the global Diaspora with their roots. We don’t do boring, old-school teaching— we bring the depth of Igbo culture into interactive digital spaces.

We are seeking a creative storyteller based in Nigeria to lead our digital presence, creating quality cultural content that resonates with people from all walks of life.

What You Will Do:

1. Create: Design social media graphics and edit short-form videos (Reels/TikTok) that stand out.
2. Plan: Manage and execute our content calendar across Instagram and TikTok.
3. Connect: Engage with our global community in a warm, professional and welcoming manner.
4. Translate: Turn classic Igbo proverbs, cultural and educational concepts into high-impact digital content.

What We Need From You:

1. Native-level fluency in spoken and written Igbo (preferably, however for the right creative applicant we are willing to teach/translate provide translation support).
2. Proven experience in graphic design and short-form video editing (Canva or Adobe proficiency).
3. Highly organised, deadline-driven and able to work completely autonomously with a reliable remote setup (stable power & internet backup).
4. Previous experience successfully managing or growing brand social media accounts.
