Social Media Associate at DeFi Planet

Role Responsibilities

• Manage social media accounts and related tools for DeFi Planet, a digital publication focusing on Web3, Blockchain Technology, Cryptocurrencies, and DeFi.
• Create high-quality social media content, including animated videos, reels, memes, etc., for various platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
• Engage with the audience through timely responses to comments, shares, DMs, and by creating polls, resharing, and posting.
• Act as the Lead Community Manager for channels like Telegram, Discord, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Maintain the brand’s presence on multiple social media channels with professionalism and consistent tone.
• Curate trending news on Crypto, DeFi, Blockchain, and Web3 from credible sources for content development.
• Utilize analytics and SEO research to understand user preferences and relay relevant information to the Editorial Team.
• Stay updated with crypto regulatory and public policy developments, including CBDCs.
• Proactively support the management team in business development and building positive relationships with third parties.
• Repost content snippets on public directories like Medium, Discord & Quora.
• Implement digital marketing strategies, including social media advertising, email marketing, paid ads, display ads, SEO, SEM, and PPC.
• Collaborate with external technology providers to ensure the platform runs smoothly.
• Publish articles on the website, optimizing tags, keywords, and image SEO.
• Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to create professional images for DeFi Planet publications.

Requirements (Essential)

• Degree in a relevant area (English, Literature, Journalism, Marketing, Media, IT, etc.).
• Native English speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social media management, digital marketing, SEO, and content marketing.
• Strong interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about technology, innovation, blockchain, and the crypto economy.
• Impeccable attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and operational skills.
• Strong interest in understanding emerging technologies (e.g., AI, data science, etc.).

Desirable:

• Experience with WordPress.
• Previous work experience in a Publication or Crypto/DeFi organization.
• Knowledge and experience in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
• Demonstrable experience in growing brand audiences.

Salary
N120,000 per month (plus a discretionary bonus).
