    Site Engineer / Finishing Engineer (Construction)

    Job Summary:

    • The company is seeking to hire a Site engineer/Finishing engineer for their business.
    • The site engineer would be responsible for implementing construction drawings as per specs and details.
    • The finishing engineer must have experience in finishing activities for building constructions.
    • The ideal candidates for these roles must be able to control workers and plan daily activities.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Site Engineer:

    • Manage parts of construction projects.
    • Oversee construction work
    • Undertake surveys. Setting out sites.
    • Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
    • Supervising contracted staff.
    • Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales.
    • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
    • Providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
    • Preparing site reports and logging progress.
    • Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

    Finishing Engineer:

    • Responsible for all finishing activities such as masonry work & plastering, screeding work, waterproofing work, ceiling, painting, tiling, marble works, PU flooring and landscaping.
    • Carry out the specified inspection/test in accordance with relevant inspection/test plans.
    • Overall supervision and coordination of responsibilities and the allocation of work areas.
    • Follow-up to ensure execution of work is carried out in accordance with approved method statements.
    • To check the quality of all the materials received on-site, ensure efficient usage of materials to minimize wastage and supervise materials storage areas.
    • Coordinates and monitors with contractors for their daily construction activities and their obligations and liaison with subcontractors.
    • Coordinate and preparing weekly and daily target schedules for all types of activities.
    • Prepare reports.
    • Review requirements of the specification and relevant standards and ensure understanding and compliance of work done with the specified requirements of the specification and drawings.

    Requirements

    • Must have degree in engineering or equivalent.
    • Professional qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Both must have at least 8 years’ experience on field.
    • Both must have worked on buildings, whether low rise, mid-rise or high rise.
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous but not mandatory.
