We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations during their assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining quality standards, and leading the team to achieve performance goals.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Shift Operations: Direct and oversee all activities during assigned shifts, including opening or closing procedures, ensuring adherence to operational standards, and resolving any issues that may arise.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service, maintain cleanliness, and uphold food safety standards.
Training and Development: Train new team members on restaurant procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support staff development.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all guests have a positive experience by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively. Monitor service quality and take corrective actions as needed.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing product rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Cash Handling: Oversee cash register operations, including handling cash transactions, processing payments, and balancing cash drawers at the end of the shift.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety guidelines, sanitation standards, and health regulations. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments to relay information, coordinate activities, and ensure smooth operations.
Opening/Closing Duties: Perform opening and closing duties as required, including preparing equipment and supplies, conducting pre-shift meetings, and securing the premises at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
