Shift Maintenance Technician, Senior at UAC

Job Summary

• Responsible for supporting the reliable operation and availability of our production equipment. This role involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments on production equipment as per established schedules and checklists.
• Monitor equipment performance data and identify potential issues before they become critical.
• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities with other technicians and production teams.

Corrective Maintenance:

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot the cause of the problem.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Order and replace necessary parts and materials.
• Document repair procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Process Improvement:

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance procedures and reduce downtime.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest potential upgrades.
• Assist with the implementation of new maintenance technologies and systems.

Safety Compliance:

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards.
• Participate in safety training and meetings. 
• Report safety hazards and potential building maintenance issues to supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess.

• B. Sc/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience working with:
  • Conveyor Systems
  • Oven and Burner Systems
  • FFS Machine and Flow Wrapping Machines Operation and Maintenance
  • Pasteurizers and Homogenizers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
