    Senior Specialist, Training & Development

    Job Type: Full-time · Mid-Senior level

    About the Job

    • We are currently recruiting for a Senior Specialist, Training & Development who will implement approved strategies to foster continuous learning among employees and build their competencies according to business needs.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Manage the company’s annual Learning & Development (L&D) budget. Track, monitor, analyze and report spend on the approved L&D budget.
    • Implement strategies to effectively curate and roll out learning programs on the company’s learning management system (IHS Academy).
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to develop, deploy and continuously improve onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
    • Drive uptake of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) on IHS Academy across the business. Work with HR Business Partners, functional leaders, and line managers to design and implement training programs based on individual PDPs.
    • Liaise with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to identify and assess competencies. Create competency templates to map learning profiles.
    • Set up, coordinate and facilitate digital learning sessions delivered by the In-House Faculty. Collaborate with Faculty members and external consultants to develop training curricula to address competency gaps.
    • Support the execution of development plans for high-performers and high-potentials identified through the Annual Talent Review process.
    • Support the Principal Specialist, Early Career Management on delivery of the company’s early career programs, including facilitation of in-house learning sessions, on-the-job training (OJT), and evaluation of performance.
    • Establish, track and report metrics for assessing effectiveness and efficiency of all learning and development programs/ interventions.
    • Deploy evaluation tools and analyze and report the statistics with a view to delivering insights that improve and/ or strengthen individual and group skill sets across the workforce.
    • Monitor, analyze and report learning and development statistics with a view to delivering insights which improve and/ or strengthen individual and group skill-sets across the IHS workforce.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, including IHS Academy user data, course/ program names, costs, trainee lists, schedules, etc.
    • Serve as Course Registrar for all local and international training programs/ events.
    • Book and coordinate set-up of physical and/ or virtual classrooms and/ or other appropriate venues for in-house/ on-site training events.
    • Serve as point of contact for training vendors and participants. Ensure vendors adhere to approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Ensure the company complies with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) requirements and follow up with ITF for refund.
    • Coordinate logistics for local and international, as well as in-house/ on-site and off-site, training events, including informing nominated participants on time and checking to ensure their attendance.
    • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Talent Development.

    Experience & Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or any relevant discipline.
    • Specialist Master’s will be an added advantage.
    • Plus 8 -10 years’ relevant experience
