Senior Project Engineer at Aldelia Limited

• As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be fully responsible for all assigned construction projects and method statements, equipment, personnel and material schedule. Duties includes creating work schedules for your team and allocating responsibilities and report to the PPM on project progress. You would be directly responsible for quality, speed, and cost management in line with BoQ and work program. Also, as a Senior Project Engineer, you would be required to plan and execute all activities relating to the delivery of a minimum 250cubic meter of concrete works per day and other related activities.

Primary Responsibility:

• Effectively manage the project milestones of all the Project Engineers under his/ her supervision.
• Take ownership and provide leadership on assigned project site, coordinating Personnel, Stakeholders under his purview.
• Receive all construction drawings for all aspect of the project work and review same with the Project Engineer for the particular project before issuing to the Engineers.
• Coordinate a weekly work projection planning meeting with the assigned project site personnel including the Project Engineers.
• In conjunction with the PPM, develop and manage material schedule with the Commercial Manager and ensure timely delivery of all required materials, light tools and equipment.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS WEIGHT (%) DELIVERY TIMELINE

• Coordinate with Project Planners on all project programs, reports projection planning meeting, indicating the variance analysis and forward to the PPM on Fridays.
• Provide oversight to all the roles he / she supervises on all projects, ensuring that required works / jobs are done to planned schedules and materials issued based on work specifications.
• Make available all necessary work requirement (i.e personnel, materials & equipment), in conjunction with the PPM for all pending job and timely escalate any shortfall/ resource unavailability to the PPM.
• Coordinate the implementation of all daily scheduled work plan, and timely escalate to the PPM any identified deviations from the work plan / challenges hindering a successful implementation of the work plan.
• Recommend to the PPM, intended work plan required to make up for time lost on any work activity that ought to have been done but, were not done and or were not completed.
• In conjunction with the PPM, ensure that all statutory government approvals and tests are carried out and submitted to the appropriate agency as and at when due.
• Ensure that all defined specifications on all works including concrete, steel etc. are fully adhered to.
• Liaise with the Design Team through the PPM and inform the QAQC Engineers for sign-offs on critical stages of works prior to covering up same, based on a schedule that would have been prepared beforehand.
• Escalate all identified safety issues resulting from deficiencies/ lapses and demand for a redresses before such work are carried out and or implemented
