    Senior Product Manager (Remote)

    Our client is a B2B marketplace with business focus in connecting global electronics wholesalers to retail store-fronts. They have an opening for a Senior Product Manager (Remote). This role is for an experienced professional who will also provide oversight and guidance to projects of high importance in addition to acting as an advisor to the CTO/Founding Team. A strong performer will feel and be treated as a founding member of the company.

    Job Overview

    The Product Manager will be responsible for managing our set of products/ product lines over the life of our products from ideation through development, launch sale, and finally discontinuance. You’ll interface between the market and the product team during development representing the voice of the customer.  The Product Manager will also provide oversight and guidance to projects of high importance in addition to acting as an advisor to the CTO/Founding Team. You will be directly responsible for the success of our product, ensuring that the company is fulfilling all product offerings. You will also actively search for any issues or problems and fix them by working directly with the CTO and development team, in addition to setting the long-term vision and strategy for our company’s products. A strong performer will feel and be treated as a founding member of the company.

    Objectives of Role

    • Using market research to get ideas for products that customers will want
    • Helping to oversee the design and manufacture and planning how to market and promote the product to the public
    • Defining product marketing communication objectives
    • Comparing the company’s products to competitor’s products in order to assess competition in the market  
    • Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management
    • Specifying and overseeing the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers
    • Reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and product production schedules to maintain product availability
    • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
    • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective
    • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
    • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successful achieved
    • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
    • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
    • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
    • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
    • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
    • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates [Company X] and its features across primary market segments

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design or Engineering (Master’s degree preferrable)
    • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
    • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
    • Highly effective cross-functional team management
    • Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product marketing strategies
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
    • Previous software and web development experience
    • Proven experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
    • Demonstrable knowledge in SEM and online advertising
