    Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

    Job Description

    This role requires collaboration with Electrical Engineers and Plumbing Engineers in the company to ensure all systems integrate seamlessly within the MEP design. The right candidate will perform work in all aspects of the project and conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare layouts, sections, elevations, and details. She/he will also conceptualize the initial process, mechanical, and plumbing design approach for projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the MEP design process from concept through construction, ensuring compliance
    • with local codes, regulations, and industry standards. Develop innovative and cost-
    • effective solutions to meet project requirements.
    • Perform complex calculations to determine heating, cooling, and ventilation loads.
    • Design and select a variety of MEP equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, pumps, and piping systems.
    • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
    • Prepare detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
    • Review and approve shop drawings submitted by contractors.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation of MEP systems according to design specifications.
    • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning of MEP systems.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the MEP field.

    Experience

    This role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and construction of MEP systems:

    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license will be an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in MEP design software (AutoCAD Revit, IESVE).
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be from the manufacturing or production industry
    • Experience working within a budget and meeting deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
    • Experience in project management
