Senior Lead, Solution Design and Integration - Supervisory at MTN Nigeria

Job Description

• IT projects/solution design, integration and development for the Business
• Knowledge of GSM Telecommunication ecosystem and ability to relate this to drive digital transformation reality.
• Design solutions in alignment with current technology trends to aid the transformation of the organization applications to be cloud and mobile natively designed so as to increase efficiency and utilization of the cloud and mobile infrastructures.
• Support all departments in their software applications, vendor selections and vendor relationships as requested, research new systems and system upgrade recommendations.
• Gather, analyse and review user requirements specifications, acquire a detailed understanding of the testing requirements for a given design, and advise on practicability of proposed architecture /design.
• Develop designs that support the functional requirements, business application projects and include the conceptual, high-level and detailed low-level design specifications for build, implementation and support for these business solutions.
• Complete an analysis of the customer's business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements.
• Assess implications of a given design current and future implications, and prepare an implementation and transition plan.
• Develop an understanding and layout plan of the system performance and capacity requirements, standards and criteria to satisfy the customer's business requirements for the solution.
• Organize and coordinate the activities of Joint Application Design sessions with all stakeholders (IT team, business and vendors), update the design as appropriate, and communicate all business process changes.
• Manage work flow processes, document weekly reports per functional area and provide input to execute and monitor business demands.

Experience & Training

• 4 years’ experience in Information Technology with greater focus on software solution project execution.
• IT Solution Analysis, Design, Development and Integration experience
• Minimum of 4 years working experience while working in information technology roles, such roles include software delivery, software solution architecture and design - using software development methodologies like agile, scrum and waterfall methods, prototyping and use of design tools such a unified modeling language( UML)
• Strong knowledge and experience in software solution development and integrations - the skill set to include - javal/J2EE platform, SOA (EST/WSDL/XSD/XL), enterprise system integration (B2B,B2C), Web design and development
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline from a reputable institution
• Knowledge of telecommunications applications - CRM, ERP systems, billing, sim registration, payment solutions, call detail record analysis, mobile application design, inter connect and value-added services (VAS) solution & cloud computing

Minimum Qualification

• B.Eng, B.Sc, B.Tech, HND or Other.
