Role Description

• This is a full-time role for a Senior Accountant at Somotex Nigeria Limited.
• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, including preparing and maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, managing budgets, and analyzing financial data.
• This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• The Senior Accountant will be based in Lagos, Nigeria and will work on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in using accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Relevant skills and qualifications 

• Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACCA, ICAN, CPA)
• Experience in the consumer durable products industry
• Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations and compliance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
