Senior Accountant at Rotawn Energy & Logistics Services Ltd

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate and facilitate external and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Provide training and support to the accounting team on accounting principles and company policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyse financial data and create reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in cost management and efficiency initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems and software.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure proper documentation of accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting or Related Degrees
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in accounting.
• Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• An analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages (Sage 50, QuickBooks, ZOHO).
