Senior Accountant - Oil & Gas at Ultimate Gas Limited

About the Role:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full revenue cycle, overseeing accounts payable and disbursements, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Cycle Management:

• Oversee daily and monthly settlements, receivables management, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices.
• Maintain meticulous records within the accounting system.

Accounts Payable and Disbursements:

• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company funds.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Support year-end closing procedures and provide comprehensive reviews of financial statements.

Tax Compliance:

• Partner with the tax team to prepare and file various tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

System Utilization:

• Leverage ERP systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain strong internal controls by adhering to SOX compliance standards and supporting internal audits.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
• Foster a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• ICAN or ACCA certified.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and oil and gas accounting practices.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and adherence to internal controls.
