Security Supervisor (Hospital Environment) at Meditrack Limited

Job Summary:

The Hospital Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property. This role involves supervising guards, monitoring compliance with hospital policies, coordinating emergency responses, and serving as a liaison between hospital management and the security team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of security personnel across all hospital zones.
• Ensure proper coverage for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and enforce hospital safety, security, and access control policies.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and emergencies (e.g., theft, violence, fire, medical emergencies).
• Train new security staff and conduct regular drills on emergency response, conflict de-escalation, and patient interaction.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and security equipment to detect and address potential threats.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports of incidents, patrol logs, shift reports, and visitor records.
• Investigate security breaches and work with hospital leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, healthcare regulations, and hospital-specific safety protocols.
• Supervise enforcement of visitation policies and provide support in managing difficult or disruptive visitors.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions where appropriate.
• Recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, and training programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of OND or higher in Criminology, Security Management, or related fields is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role—preferably in a healthcare or high-traffic setting.
• Strong knowledge of hospital security protocols, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict or emergencies professionally.
• Physical fitness and ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and incident documentation.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, or health and safety is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor duties across various hospital departments and facilities.
• Exposure to high-stress situations, confrontational individuals, and emergency scenes.
• Rotational shifts, including night, weekend, and holiday duties as needed.
• Required to wear a uniform and ID badge while on duty.
