Role Overview
- The Security Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising all security operations across the construction corridor, camps, equipment yards, and administrative facilities. The role ensures the protection of personnel, contractors, equipment, and project assets while coordinating activities of private guards, government security personnel, and escort units.
- The Security Coordinator will implement proactive security protocols, conduct risk assessments, manage incident response, and maintain continuous liaison with law enforcement agencies, military formations, host communities, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations Management
- Supervise all deployed security personnel, including guards, patrol teams, and escort units.
- Coordinate security activities across all project sites, camps, material yards, and access roads.
- Ensure adequate guard coverage and patrol schedules for all critical infrastructure.
- Maintain 24/7 security monitoring across the project corridor.
Coordination with Government Security Agencies
- Coordinate activities of military personnel and police attached to the project.
- Maintain liaison with Brigade Commands, Police Divisions, Civil Defence, and local vigilante groups.
- Facilitate security escorts for sensitive movements such as equipment transport, cash movement, and VIP visits.
Access Control and Site Protection
- Develop and enforce strict access control procedures at all project locations.
- Implement ID verification and visitor management systems.
- Monitor entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials.
Risk Assessment and Threat Management
- Conduct routine security risk assessments across construction zones.
- Identify potential threats, including theft, vandalism, community unrest, kidnapping, and sabotage.
- Develop preventive security measures and contingency plans.
Incident Response and Crisis Management
- Lead response during security incidents including accidents, conflicts, theft, or violent situations.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of incidents.
- Coordinate response with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Escort and Movement Security
- Plan and coordinate security escorts for:
- Equipment transport
- Fuel movement
- Senior management visits
- Cash logistics
- Ensure convoy movement protocols are strictly followed.
Intelligence Gathering and Community Monitoring
- Maintain informal intelligence networks within host communities.
- Monitor security developments and early warning indicators.
- Provide weekly threat intelligence updates to management.
Security Personnel Training and Supervision
- Train guards on:
- Access control
- Incident reporting
- Emergency response
- Conflict de-escalation
- Conduct periodic drills for emergency scenarios.
Security Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain daily security situation reports.
- Prepare weekly security briefings to management.
- Maintain incident logs and investigation reports.
Compliance and Security Protocol Enforcement
- Ensure compliance with company security policies.
- Enforce professional conduct among security personnel.
- Maintain discipline and accountability.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Public
- Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in security operations.
- Experience working with construction sites, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience coordinating with military, police, or paramilitary agencies.
- Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Certified Security Professional (CSP)
- Military or law enforcement background is an advantage.
