Secondary Geography Teacher at Spring of Life and Fountain of Wisdom Schools

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons that align with the school's curriculum and instructional guidelines.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, spatial analysis, and an appreciation for the interconnectedness of the world.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including maps, data analysis, technology, and fieldwork, to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Encourage students to explore and analyze the impacts of human activities on the environment, as well as the cultural, economic, and social factors that shape societies.
• Provide opportunities for students to investigate case studies, conduct research, and participate in hands-on fieldwork to develop practical geographic skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate Geography with other subjects and promote a holistic understanding of the world.
• Stay updated with current geographical research, technological advancements, and pedagogical approaches to continually enhance teaching methods and content knowledge.
• Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to promote open communication and a positive school-home partnership.

Requirements:

• A strong practicing Spirit-filled Christian, with a deep commitment to Christian values and principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographical Sciences, or a related field.
• Teaching certification in Geography or related disciplines.
• Proven experience teaching Geography or related subjects at the secondary school level.
• Passion for education and a genuine interest in inspiring students to become global citizens and environmental stewards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports academic growth and personal development.
• Proficiency in integrating technology, Geography and multimedia resources into Geography instruction.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest geographical research and pedagogical approaches.
