Secondary French Teacher at Spring of Life and Fountain of Wisdom Schools

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive French language lessons that align with the school's curriculum and instructional guidelines.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages language acquisition, cultural exploration, and effective communication in French.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technology to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French through interactive activities, dialogues, and authentic materials.
• Introduce students to the rich cultural heritage of French-speaking countries, including literature, traditions, history, and contemporary society.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their language development.
• Organize and facilitate opportunities for students to engage in French language immersion experiences, such as exchanges, cultural events, or virtual collaborations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate French language learning with other subjects.
• Stay updated with current pedagogical approaches, teaching resources, and technological advancements in language instruction.
• Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to promote open communication and a positive school-home partnership.

Requirements:

• A strong practicing Spirit-filled Christian, with a deep commitment to Christian values and principles.
• Bachelor's degree in French, French Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification in French or Foreign Language Education.
• Proven experience teaching French language at the secondary school level.
• Native or near-native proficiency in French, including strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Passion for education and a genuine interest in inspiring students to develop linguistic fluency and cultural competence in French.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports academic growth and personal development.
• Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia resources into French language instruction.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest pedagogical approaches and cultural trends.
