School Driver at Kaplo Africa

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible, safety-conscious, and experienced Driver to join our team at a highly reputable Nursery & Primary School in Abeokuta. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of pupils and staff while maintaining the school vehicle in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport pupils to and from school, as well as for school-related activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to all traffic rules and safety regulations.
• Maintain discipline, order, and safety of pupils while in transit.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, etc.) before use.
• Keep the vehicle clean, neat, and in optimal working condition at all times.
• Report any faults, damages, or maintenance needs promptly to management.
• Ensure proper use of seat belts and adherence to child safety measures.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with minor errands as may be assigned by the school management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification with 3–5 years driving experience, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Valid Driver’s License and LASDRI (Lagos State Drivers Institute) certificate or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Abeokuta roads and traffic regulations.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
• Ability to work with children patiently and courteously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
