    Scaffolding Foreman

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the erection, modification and dismantling of Scaffolding structures.
    • Ensure that scaffolding is installed as per engineering drawings, safety guidelines, and load requirements.
    • Conduct scaffold inspections to check stability, load-bearing capacity, and alignment.
    • Implement fall protection measures, edge protection, and access control.
    • Inspect and approve scaffolding before allowing workers to use it.
    • Supervise scaffolders, helpers, and laborers, ensuring quality workmanship.
    • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
    • Assign tasks and monitor performance of scaffolding crews.
    • Coordinate with site engineers, construction managers, and safety officers.
    • Ensure scaffolding activities do not interfere with other site operations.
    • Ensure availability and proper storage of scaffolding materials (tubes, couplers, boards, etc.).
    • Monitor the condition and maintenance of scaffolding components.
    • Maintain daily progress reports and update project management on scaffolding status.
    • Keep records of inspections, certifications, and scaffold modifications.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 5 - 10 years of experience as a Scaffolding Foreman or Lead Scaffolder.
    • Strong knowledge of scaffolding types (tube & coupler, system scaffolds, cantilever, etc.).
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scaffold designs.
    • Understanding of load calculations, wind resistance, and structural stability.
    • Certification in Scaffolding Inspection, CITB, OSHA, or CISRS is an advantage.
    • Experience in industrial, civil, and infrastructure projects.
