    Job description

    • A Sales Executive (ATG) in an engineering context, often functioning as a Sales Engineer, bridges the gap between complex technical products/services and customer needs, combining sales skills with engineering expertise.
    • ATG can refer to "Advanced Technology Group" or "Analytical Technologies Group," implying a focus on cutting-edge or specialized engineering solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and Qualify Opportunities: Research and prospect new clients (e.g., builders, contractors, research institutions) to generate qualified sales leads.
    • Technical Presentations and Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the client's specific needs, showcasing how the solutions address their challenges.
    • Needs Analysis and Solution Proposal: Discuss equipment and system requirements with customers and internal engineers to understand their challenges and propose viable, customized technical solutions.
    • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Act as a liaison between clients and the product/engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to provide feedback for future product enhancements.
    • Negotiation and Closing: Prepare technical and commercial proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business and upgrades.
    • Post-Sales Support: Provide or coordinate post-sales technical assistance and support, including troubleshooting and customer training, to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction.
    • Market Intelligence and Reporting: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments, and provide regular reports/forecasts to management using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
