Sales and Merchant Acquisition Specialist at LemFi (Formerly Lemonade Finance)

Job Summary

• The role of the Sales and Merchant Acquisition Officer, is a hybrid position within LemFi’s Sales team. In this role, you should have a demonstrated knowledge of onboarding merchants within the fintech industry or similar position.

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking to hire a Sales and Merchant acquisition specialist for our B2B product (Zide). The ideal candidate will be responsible for Merchant Acquisition, developing sales strategies and identifying business growth opportunities for this product. You will:

• Follow up with Marketing generated leads to qualify as sales opportunities. Move solid leads through the funnel, and arrange meetings
• Identify high-potential businesses, verticals and markets, and develop and execute outbound strategies to bring them to Zide
• Develop and lead campaigns from idea-generation through to qualified calls and determine how best to scale them
• Initiate contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated from Marketing
• Develop relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning to qualify interest and viability
• Follow-up with potential customers who expressed interest but did not initially result in a sales opportunity
• Effectively work through lead list meeting/exceeding SLAs, consistently update activity and contact information within the CRM system and support weekly reporting efforts
• Collaborate and provide feedback and insights to Marketing to help improve targeting and messaging
• Work with customers to support their activation & deployment of Zide services

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the banking, fintech or similar industries.
• Hands-on experience onboarding and managing Merchants within the finance industry and meeting sales targets.
• Strong business acumen and analytical thought process.
• Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proximity to Lagos Island Market, Alaba Market and Computer Village.
