Roll Change & Preparation Mechanic, Golden Penny Foods – Nigerian Eagle Flour Mills at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose 

• To carry out efficient roll change, roll preparation, maintenance, installation, and repair of roller mills and associated equipment to ensure continuous operations, optimal extraction performance, and minimal production downtime.

The Job​

• Carry out roll change, preparation, installation, and maintenance activities on roller mills and associated equipment.
• Maintain roller mills to achieve targeted extraction rates and optimal milling performance.
• Conduct routine inspections of roller mills and related equipment to identify potential faults and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out corrective actions to restore equipment performance.
• Stop and eliminate air and material leakages to support mill optimization and improve operational efficiency.
• Fabricate parts required for maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain daily records and reports of all roll and roller mill activities.
• Ensure all roll preparation and maintenance jobs are performed safely and hygienically.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the work environment to support food safety and operational standards.

Qualification

• Minimum of SSCE, 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, NABTEB, or Trade Test I to III in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience:​​

• Minimum of two years cognate experience in mechanical maintenance, roll change, roller mill maintenance, or a similar manufacturing environment.

The Person Must:​​

• Possess sound mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Have basic fabrication and equipment repair knowledge.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Be able to work under pressure and respond effectively to operational demands.
