Revenue Protection Officer -MD at Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc

Job Description

This job role drives the prevention, detection, and recovery of energy losses attributable to billing irregularities, illegal connections to IBEDC and interference with metering installation regarding MD customers in the region.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc./HND degree
• Membership of relevant professional bodies.
• Minimum of 3 years experience

Technical Competences

• Critical thinking.
• Working knowledge of and experience in energy meters and devices.
• Working knowledge of safety standards. 
• Working knowledge of load reading and analysis skills.

Job Responsibility

• Identifies areas of high financial leakages and designs appropriate strategies to enforce compliance with operational processes affecting revenue from MD customers.
• Supports MD team to meet set targets.
• Carry out certification of newly installed MD meters.
• Carry out recertification of the MD metering system and associated equipment in the region to ascertain optimal performance.
• Calculate and estimate bills from malfunctioning and damaged MD meters; monitors and investigate energy theft. 
• Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders. Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by HRP
