RESIDENT VETERINARIAN

Tasks & Responsibilites:

1. Examine poultry and check their health status.
2. Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment.
3. Vaccinate poultry to prevent diseases.
4. Prescribe and administer medication.
5. Work closely with farmers and other technical team to advise, support, resolve and enhance output in the production of commercial broilers under different management system
6. Advise on the overall health of poultry flock
7. Follow all ethical rules relating to animal welfare
8. Enforce 100% biosecurity on all farm location.

Special Requirements and Skill

1. The demands of the job regularly result in considerable fatigue.
2. Occasionally required to lift or move objects 17kg to 25kg
3. Travel to visit commercial farms and conduct clinical assessments.
4. Need for walking and climbing stairs is a regular occurrence.
5. The use of fine finger/precision work, the use of hand tools that require accurate control and steadiness and using gross motor skills in relation to moving objects on a regular basis.
6. Ability to withstand harsh conditions.
7. Exposure to noise.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent social networking skills.
