Contribute to the special issue on “Objective-oriented health systems reform: implications for moving towards universal health coverage”
Participate in virtual and in-person meetings related to the drafting, editing and review of the special issue
Participate as a speaker at the ThinkWell/WHO/R4D/SPARC pre-congress session: “Exploring the “means” to achieve universal health coverage in Africa: research and insights on contributory and non-contributory means of financing health care from low- and middle-income countries” on Sunday 9th July at the International Health Economics Association (iHEA) Congress [AK1]
Support the planning and facilitation of the writers’ workshop in Cape Town, South Africa
Draft the framing paper of the special issue, respond to peer review and editorial team feedback and prepare the final paper for submission for publication
Coach other writers involved in the special issue by reviewing their drafts and providing feedback on drafts and during virtual check-in sessions
Facilitation of the SPARC component of the NLDP
Provide inputs into the training modules and the case studies
Facilitate in-person training as allocated within the facilitation team

The period of performance for this scope of work is June 1st 2023 – June 30th 2024 and the expected level of effort is 30 days.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in health financing
10+ years of experience
Working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa
Demonstrated track record in publishing scientific journals
Experience in facilitation and training course development
