Job Description

• Ensures compliance with set standards for reinsurance.  
• Assists in packaging sound and robust treaty arrangement for the company. 
• Preparation of data and statistics for the treaty negotiation.
• Review all documentation relating to the company's reinsurance business.
• Raise potential issues as appropriate and negotiate resolution with brokers/counterparties. 
• Perform quality assurance review of contracts to ensure contract wording reflects intent of  the negotiations.
• Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Special Risk targets.
• Define the underwriting modalities of a contract (agreement, pricing, guaranties).
• Assist in gathering market intelligence, updating market statistics and pricing databases.
• Support the team in administrative tasks, treaty, and addendum preparation as well as  designing and compiling treaty overview.
• Control all administrative related activities like reinsurance accounting, reconciliation, etc.
• Communicate with internal stake holders to create a proper understanding of underlying  business, exposure, and business processes, to subsequently create appropriate external  and internal reinsurance proposals.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Reinsurance role.
• University degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or another area that  involves a strong focus on Quantitative Analysis.
• CIIN is an added advantage.
