Senior DevOps Engineer at iRecharge Tech-Innovations

The Role 

• This is a hands-on senior role. You will design and operate cloud infrastructure, build and improve deployment pipelines, drive observability and reliability, and help shape engineering culture around infrastructure best practices. You will work closely with software engineers, product and security teams — and mentor more junior members of the team. 
• What You Will Do Design, build and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS Own and improve CI/CD pipelines — enabling fast, safe and automated deployments across all environments 
• Lead the adoption and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code across the engineering organisation Drive observability — metrics, logging, alerting and dashboards — so the team has full visibility into system health 
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices: identity and access management, network segmentation, secrets management and encryption 
• Own incident response for infrastructure issues — lead diagnosis, resolution and post-mortems 
• Manage capacity planning and cost optimisation across cloud resources Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment architecture, containerisation and service reliability
•  Champion and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies; ensure restore capability is regularly tested
•  Contribute to security and compliance requirements — the team operates in a regulated fintech environment 
• Write clear documentation, runbooks and operational procedures 
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the infrastructure engineering bar across the team 

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or cloud infrastructure engineering Strong, hands-on AWS experience — EC2, ECS or EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch Solid Infrastructure-as-Code experience — Terraform strongly preferred 
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or equivalent) 

Strong container experience:

• Docker and either ECS or Kubernetes in production Good understanding of cloud security: IAM least-privilege, network controls, secrets management, encryption at rest and in transit
•  Experience with observability tooling — metrics, logging, tracing and alerting at scale Scripting ability in Python, Bash or similar 
• Strong communication skills — comfortable in cross-functional discussions and able to document decisions clearly

 Desirable:

• Experience working in fintech, payments or other regulated industries 
• Familiarity with security or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2) 
• AWS certifications — Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Professional or Security Specialty
•  Experience with database operations at scale — RDS/Aurora tuning, replication, failover 
• Exposure to cost optimisation and FinOps practices on AWS
