Regional Security Manager, Nigeria and Developing Middle East Africa (DMEA)
This position will be responsible for managing complex security risk across Nigeria and Middle East Africa.
Manage security vendor relationships for the Ikorodu facility and implementing core security programs (Physical Security, Travel Security, Workplace Violence Prevention, Executive Protection, Supply Chain Security and Crisis Management).
You will also actively engage with other members of the Global Security Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Develops, plans, organizes, and supervises the activities of a Site SecurityManager (Ikorodu), and 20 on-site Security Guards to ensure their day-to-day actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements, meet corporate standards and customer needs.
Develops, plans, organizes and measures the effectiveness of physical security at all Nigeria and DMEA sites and collaborates with Mill Managers, Regional Leaders, and Stakeholders to assess security risks, security services and systems, provide innovative solutions and develop improvement roadmaps.
Manages Journey Management Protection activities for all travelers to Nigeria and DMEA countries.
Implements Security Core Programs within Nigeria and Middle East Africa by adapting the programs to regional needs, engaging with regional leaders, other key stakeholders to ensure buy-in.
Manages security vendors to ensure local engagement, quality, compliance, and cost effectiveness in security services and controls a $500k budget with regular reviews to ensure spend matches hours of service and contract terms.
Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting people, facilities, and business.
Provides expert security advice and perspective to senior managers and other stakeholders such that security issues are thoroughly evaluated, innovative approaches are developed, and optimal solutions are implemented.
Maintains advanced subject matter expertise in security management, technology and trends in the industry and region.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector counterparts.
Briefs senior executives on status of security issues and serves on regional level committees and working groups.
Candidate Profile
This position requires 5+ years of experience working in law enforcement, intelligence agency or corporate security with specific experience with implementing security programs; 4-year degree or equivalent security professional experience and certifications.
Ability to build trust, engage and understand business objectives and risk tolerance, and to effectively integrate risk mitigation strategies into enterprise without compromising business objectives.
Proven ability to effectively manage conflict and apply sound judgement in advising and influencing others at all levels within the organization.
Process oriented with strong project management and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to handle, prioritize, and execute on numerous projects simultaneously.
Experience in establishing and maintaining a strong culture of compliance and have a proven track record of operating with the highest ethical standards.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience at a large multinational corporation, ideally in CPG, consumer retail, e-commerce and/or manufacturing environments
