Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager (QA/QC Manager) at T.O.N Corporate Services

The Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager (QA/QC Manager) will be responsible for effectively managing quality assurance & quality control activities and team, monitoring the compliant implementation of WHO Pre-Qualification requirements in the manufacturing of long lasting insecticidal nets, ensuring products and processes meet the highest quality standards. 

He will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements and ensure that products are delivered on time and within specifications.

Key responsibilities

Establishing Standards & Compliance

• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, reports, and defect tracking records.
• Enforce quality standards and procedures, ensuring all team members follow them.
• Develop, implement, improve the ISO9001 quality management system of the factory.
• Obtain in due time the ISO9001 certification from a global certification body.
• Plan and follow-up annual internal quality audit schedule.
• Be the point of contact and lead the preparation of WHO Pre-Qualification Inspections.
• Schedule workloads of inspection team to meet deadline and act fast in emergency mode.

Data Analysis & Overseeing Testing

• Carry out the acceptance and testing inspection process to ensure product releases fulfill their requirements before releasing to customers.
• Monitor and analyze key quality metrics to track product performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Review products' quality and communicate results internally.
• Conduct inspection plan for products to maximize the ability of risk detection.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure quality risks are mitigated throughout the product life cycle.
• Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Staff Management & Collaboration

• Lead and manage the QA/QC department in the transfer of technology from overseas operations.
• Lead and manage the QA/QC department in the development, implementation, and execution of quality assurance processes and strategies.
• Manage and mentor the QA/QC team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities to quality and production staff to enhance team skills and performance.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure that quality standards are integrated into the products lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain a strong communication channel with other departments to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the production process.
• Ensure the inspection team is sufficiently equipped with knowledge, tools and safety for a full operational state.

Performance indicators

• No major quality customer complaint.
• Schedule adherence, quality assurance and acceptance testing inspection milestones and deadlines are met as per schedule.
• Technical report accuracy.
• Implement technology transfer.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Bachelor of Science is minimum required
• Experienced in building and implementing ISO9001 Quality Management System
• Understanding ISO2859 Sampling & Inspection
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Project and time management
• English and external communication
• MS Office, People management and Problem solving
• Auditing and reporting
