    Quality Assurance/Control Lead

    Job Description

    • Oversee and coordinate product testing and inspection process for Aerosol products and other in-home pest control products to ensure optimal quality of final products is achieved and pre-determined standards of production are maintained.
    • Prior aerosol experience, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods

    Key Duties And Responsibilities

    • Prepare and drive the implementation of the annual Quality Control Plan for the plant.
    • Ensure that production quality control processes are implemented in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
    • Supervise laboratory operations to ensure precision in the sample testing process for raw materials, intermediate products, final products, oil, water gas, etc. and appropriate calibration of equipment’s.
    • Ensure all set product quality targets are met and deviations from target quality standards are promptly identified and rectified.
    • Prepare annual calibration schedule and ensure calibration is carried out on laboratory equipments as scheduled.
    • Manage the interface between the QA/QC function and other relevant departments within the plant.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Plant Head
    • Working to reduce complaint and product & process non-conformities to deliver product high reliability in processing Packing operations.
    • Provide quality system and control support to the business in compliance to Regulatory agencies requirements, guidelines, and Company requirements. (e.g. Nafdac, SON, Ministries etc).
    • Effectively address Quality incidents, non-conformances, and risks assessments, monitor external /trade complaints, monitor trends, and drive investigations where necessary.
    • Ensure that safe work policies, procedures, and standards are well imbibed to ensure continuous improvement across all process on site.
    • Organize internal audits as well as host audit organisations to ensure company wide compliance in line with ISO 9001.
    • Ensure full and timely communication and collaboration with all areas of the business, key stakeholders, and customer.
    • The incumbent is to drive customer product research & NPD process, formulation management, in conjunction with NPD & Marketing and Sales teams.
    •  Work closely with and build relationships with Sales and Marketing to ensure all products are commercially viable.
    • Shelf-life completion and extension work. • Control and monitor value added product development including competitor product analysis, benchmarking market, product design, product matching, sensory analysis, recipe optimisation, supplier rationalisation and optimisation programmes.
    • Provide recipes, tolerance data, relevant raw material specifications and costing information in the correct format, in a timely fashion, to allow the Centralised Resource team to create and finalise product information for successful product launches.
    • Drive factory liaison in terms of process development, production trials, recipe manufacture, and ingredient training with plant operatives. Skills And Competencies • In-depth knowledge of quality audit/testing processes for aerosols
    • In-depth knowledge of the aerosol industry (local and international)
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Proven training and facilitation skills
    • Good problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to pay attention to details • Good relationship management skills • Proficiently in Microsoft Office suites

    Education and Experience

    • 3-5+ years in FMCG environment
    • Educated to degree or equivalent in Chemical, Engineering, Laboratory or related qualification
    • Must have led Quality process in an aerosol formulation and manufacturing environment

    Age: 27 – 35 Years
