QA/QC Engineer (Road Construction) at Beacongate Limited

Salary: 300k to 350k Net

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)  plans, procedures, and inspection processes for road construction projects. 
• Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, engineering  standards, regulatory requirements, and client quality expectations. 
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate material testing to verify compliance with approved quality standards. 
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality reports, and other QA/QC documentation. 
• Identify quality non-conformances, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. 
• Liaise with consultants, clients, laboratories, and project teams on all quality-related matters. 
• Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications. 
• Maintain accurate quality records, test results, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. 
• Mentor and guide site engineers and project teams on quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Support project delivery by ensuring quality objectives are achieved without compromising safety, cost, or schedule.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Materials  Engineering, or a related field. 
•  Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction industry, with significant experience on road and highway construction projects. 
• Professional registration with relevant bodies such as COREN, NSE, or other recognized  professional institutions is an added advantage. 
• Strong knowledge of road construction specifications, material testing standards, quality management systems, and industry best practices. 
• Experience in asphalt works, concrete works, earthworks, pavement construction, drainage systems, and laboratory testing procedures. 
• Proficiency in quality documentation, inspection processes, audits, and reporting. 
• Familiarity with ISO 90001 Quality Management Systems and other relevant quality standards is highly desirable.
