Provost of Medicine at Hensard University

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Provost of Medicine at Hensard University located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
• The Provost of Medicine will be responsible for overseeing the academic departments, faculty members, and students of the College of Medicine, as well as designing and implementing academic programs, conducting research, and managing faculty staff and resources.

• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to manage people and resources effectively

Academic and Research Skills

• A proven track record in academic and research excellence
• Experience in designing and implementing academic programs, courses, and curricula
• Ability to conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people

Education and Experience

• A PhD in Medicine or a related field
• At least 15 years experience in a leadership role in the academic or medical fields
• Experience in managing academic departments and faculty members
