    Project Manager - Mining

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mining, Civil, Mechanical), Project Management, or related field

    Certifications:

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
    • Optional: Mining-specific certifications (e.g., Certified Mining Engineer)

    Key Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in managing mining projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to desired quality standards
    • Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana)

    Key Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and mitigate risks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with mining industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols

    Job Description:

    • As a Project Manager, you will lead mining projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop project charters, scope statements, and project schedules.
    • Establish project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement plans.
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineers, geologists, and contractors.
    • Coordinate efforts, set priorities, and ensure effective communication.
    • Engage with stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
    • Ensure technical feasibility, stakeholder buy-in, and project alignment.
    • Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
    • Implement quality control measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Prepare project status reports, progress updates, and final project evaluations.
    • Document lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement.
