    Project Manager

    Role Overview

    • The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of design, procurement, construction, and coordination for the refurbishment and development of the campus. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a deep understanding of construction delivery within Nigeria’s regulatory and educational context.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day project activities including planning, timelines, and delivery.
    • Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, MEP consultants, and government authorities.
    • Liaise with the institution's management team and Ministry of Education and/or Culture to ensure alignment with educational standards.
    • Oversee procurement processes and tendering for contractors and equipment suppliers.
    • Maintain quality control and ensure works meet agreed specifications and codes for educational buildings.
    • Monitor budgets, issue tracking reports, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
    • Identify and manage risks, resolving issues as they arise.
    • Prepare regular project updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects for universities, schools, or training centers in Nigeria.
    • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in project management roles.
    • Strong familiarity with Nigerian building regulations and government tendering protocols.
    • Experience working with government agencies, donors, or private-sector investors is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

    Desirable Attributes

    • PMP or PRINCE2 Certification
    • Demonstrated ability to manage interdisciplinary teams
    • Experience working on creative or technical education facilities (media, arts, STEM)
    • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent)
