Job Overview

• We are seeking a motivated, strategic, and detail-oriented Project Lead to join our team for the Green Schools for Climate Action Project.
• This role is ideal for a professional who can ownership of both the strategic and operational aspects of a high-level impact driven climate project.

• You will collaborate with internal teams, manage field-based activities, and coordinate with schools, communities, government agencies, and technical partners to ensure project objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning:

• Lead overall planning, execution, performance management, and strategic decision-making.
• Translate the strategic direction into actionable implementation plans.
• Provide strategic oversight on climate resilience, behavior-change approaches, and sustainability integration.
• Conduct curriculum climate change gap analysis for secondary and tertiary education and recommend interventions
• Lead and manage research activities.
• Lead scenario planning, risk mitigation strategy, and project adaptation processes.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement:

• Coordinate engagement with schools, communities, state/local government agencies, and technical partners.
• Represent the project at strategic stakeholder forums.

Project Oversight & Quality Management:

• Monitor and manage project progress, risks, KPIs, and quality benchmarks across all project components.
• Review tools, frameworks, and key documentation from the Delivery and Implementation teams.
• Ensure compliance with donor, institutional, and environmental standards.

Reporting:

• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for every milestone of the project.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Provide leadership, and supervision to internal project teams.
• Facilitate alignment across Implementation, Delivery, and Analyst manager functions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
• Proven experience in developing climate change-related curricula for diverse age groups
• Hands-on experience conducting research, gap analysis, and feasibility studies in climate education or related fields.
• Demonstrated excellence in report writing with a track record of producing high-quality, data-driven project reports for donors and stakeholders.
• 4+ years of experience leading large-scale development or climate programs, with measurable impact
• Strong expertise in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and project reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and people management skills.
• Proven success in leading community development initiatives, with tangible outcomes.
• Skilled in synthesizing complex data and insights into high-level, actionable reports and presentations.
